CHICAGO, IL October 30, 2003 - According to the CDC, a majority of adults of reproductive age are unfit, i.e., overweight or obese. Studies prove that the Number One predictor of childhood weight problems is parental unfitness. If one parent is unfit, a child has a 40% chance of developing weight problems and if both parents are unfit, a child has an 80-90% chance of developing weight problems. In 2000, there were 4.059 million births in the United States. The CDC expects one in three children to become diabetic during their lifetime from being unfit. Diabetes is only one problem.
