Losing weight and looking good is something that many people want to do, but it is also something that many people try to do and fail to do. Why is there such a problem with burning and losing fat? It is often attributed to genetics.

Some people who are overweight think that they are overweight because it is just their body type. That, my friend, is not true. Trust me on this, anyone can be fit and thin. However, some people may need different amount of exercise and some people may have to work more than others. By knowing the right formula, you might just be on your way to join the ranks of people who are thin for life.

The most important part of it all is that, once you know the magic formula, you can get results fast!

The Magic Mix

In order to lose fat safely, you need a mixture of diet and exercise. What to diet on and how to exercise? Simple. You have to cut your calories and exercise to burn off excess fats. There you go, the magic solution.

The science behind it is very simple. You would need to burn off 3500 calories in order to lose a pound of fat. However, dieting alone is very unhealthy. That is why you should combine exercise and dieting in your routine. This way, you can lose weight much more healthier.

Getting Better Exercises

So, when do you need to exercise? The best time to exercise is when your blood sugar is low. So when? Well, this means that you should do it some time after your eat or before you eat. Most professionals suggest that working out first thing in the morning is the best. This will allow your body to lose more fat.

The best suggestion that I can offer is that you should workout at your target heart rate. I am sure most of you may not know what your target heart rate is. Let me tell you. Subtract your age form 220. You will then need to workout at 55% to 85% of this maximum heart rate. However, if you are a beginner, you should only workout at 55% to 65% of that number.

Keep Motivated

We all know that staying motivated is one of the hardest thing to do. After working out for a week, you may not see results but let me tell you this; it is not about what the scale is displaying. What is more important is how you feel.

To help keep you motivated avoid the scale altogether. Your weight will go up and down throughout the day so your weight is not a good indicator. Instead take your measurements. This is a better reflection of your progress.

It can also help to find someone to workout with. They will help keep you motivated. It is harder to give up when someone else is working with you.
